This is the safari most first-time visitors picture: baobab-studded Tarangire and its elephant herds, the wildlife-packed floor of the Ngorongoro Crater, and two unhurried days on the open Serengeti — capped by a sunrise balloon flight and a bush breakfast on the plains. Choose mid-range or luxury lodges throughout; the route runs beautifully year-round.
Your guide meets you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and drives you the short way to Arusha. The rest of the day is yours to rest after the flight and settle in before the safari begins.
