A six-day safari built around the wildebeest calving season, when hundreds of thousands of animals gather on the short-grass plains of Ndutu, on the Serengeti's southern edge. Between late December and March, some 8,000 calves are born a day — and the predators are never far behind. The route also takes in the elephants of Tarangire and a morning in the Ngorongoro Crater, in your choice of mid-range or luxury camps.
Your guide meets you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfers you to Arusha to rest before the safari begins.
