Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be met by your driver-guide and transferred to Pazuri Inn in Arusha. Today is a day of rest and recovery from your travels. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the option to explore a bit of Arusha town or simply relax at the lodge as you prepare for your safari adventure ahead.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch. Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and rich birdlife. You will enjoy a full day game drive through the park, taking in the scenery and wildlife, before heading toward the town of Karatu in the late afternoon.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater to Central Serengeti

Early in the morning, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater is home to an impressive variety of wildlife including black rhinos, lions, hyenas, and flamingos. After a picnic lunch inside the crater, you will begin your journey toward the Serengeti. This scenic drive takes you through the highlands and onto the vast plains of the central Serengeti.

Day 4: Transfer to Northern Serengeti

After breakfast, begin your journey toward the northern Serengeti, traveling through game-rich areas and enjoying wildlife sightings along the way. The landscape changes as you move north, with more rolling hills and riverine areas. You will arrive at Safari Haven Migration Camp, located near the Mara River, an area famous for wildebeest crossings during the Great Migration season.

Day 5: Northern Serengeti

Today is dedicated to exploring the northern Serengeti. You will spend the day on game drives in search of the Great Migration, particularly the dramatic river crossings, as well as predators that follow the herds. The area is also home to elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, and numerous bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush or return to camp for a hot meal, depending on the day’s activity.

Day 6: Central Serengeti

After breakfast, you will leave the northern Serengeti and make your way back to the central region. The drive doubles as a game drive, offering more chances to see wildlife along the way. Central Serengeti is known for its dense predator population and the iconic granite outcrops known as kopjes. You’ll arrive at Safari Haven Serengeti in the afternoon with time to relax before dinner.

Day 7: Serengeti to Karatu

This morning, you may opt for a final sunrise game drive in the Serengeti before beginning your journey back to Karatu. The drive takes you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with scenic views along the way. Arrive at Marera Valley Lodge in the afternoon. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax and reflect on your safari experiences.

Day 8: Departure

After breakfast, you will drive from Karatu back to Arusha. Depending on your flight time, you may stop for souvenir shopping or a cultural visit in town. Later, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzanian safari.
